Recipe Introduction
Don't expect cheddar or jack, but it is a great sauce for using on gf corn elbows or rice macaroni for a lovely baked mac and cheese.
List of Ingredients
1/2 c roasted cashews
2 1/2 T. cornstarch
1/2 sweet red pepper
1 1/4 t salt
2 T. fresh lemon juice
1 c water
2 T nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 c oat flakes (sub poha, quinoa or buckwheat flakes if you can't use oats)
1 t. onion powder
Recipe
Blend well using an immersion blender.
Add 1 1/2 c boiling water and cook until thick.
Use warm or cold.
Keeps in frig in a sealed container for about a week.
