    6 tablespoon vegetable oil
    2 onions, finely chopped
    1/2 head (yes, head, not clove) garlic, finely chopped
    1 28-ounce can tomato sauce, diced, or crushed tomatoes
    1 6-ounce can tomato paste
    2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
    2/3 cup soy sauce
    1/3 cup agave nectar
    1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

    Recipe



    1. Saute onion and garlic in oil until soft.

    2. Add other ingredients.

    3. Bring to a boil then simmer about 45 minutes, or until desired thickness, stirring occasionally.

    4. Cool, then puree in a blender or food processor to desired smoothness.

    ADDITIONS TO CATSUP
    Here are some additional flavorings that go well with tomatoes, which you can add to either recipe for variation: basil, black pepper, hot chiles, chives, cilantro, onion, oregano, parsley, rosemary, or thyme.
