This recipe is named for the author’s six children, her “little angels”
List of Ingredients
¼ C. cf margerine (salt free)
1 C. sugar
1 ½ C chopped pitted dates (8 ounces)
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. gf vanilla extract
2 C. GF Rice Krispy-type cereal
1 C. shredded coconut (sulfite free)
Recipe
Combine margerine, sugar and dates in large saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until the margerine is melted and the mixture resembles a paste.
Remove from the heat.
Add salt, vanilla, cereal and coconut; stir well to combine.
When cool enough to handle, squeeze and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
Refrigerate until chilled.
