4 ounces pitted dates
4 ounces raisins
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
1 cup walnuts or almonds
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Orange juice to moisten
Recipe
In a food processor, chop nuts, then add spices, dates, raisins and apples.
Moisten with lemon juice and orange juice.
Depending on your choice, you can have it a little on the chunky side or smooth side.
Yields approximately 6 cups.
Note: Keeps for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
