    Luck of the South Stew

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 Tbls Canola Oil
    1 lb Boneless Pork Ribs
    2 Tbls Wheat Free Tamari
    4 cups Boiling Water
    1 small Head of Cabbage
    4 medium Red Potatoes
    1 Bell Pepper
    1 Sweet Onion
    1 Clove of Garlic (skinned and crushed)
    Salt

    Recipe

    Heat oil in a skillet to medium high heat.

    Salt pork, add to skillet and lightly sear.

    Remove from skillet and add to slow cooker (on highest setting).

    Pour Tamari over pork, add water and cover.

    When water starts to bubble add garlic and let cook until fork tender. (Approximately 2 hours.Time may very depending on the brand/type of slow cooker.)

    Wash and cut potatoes into chunks, add to slow cooker.

    While potatoes are cooking prepare cabbage, peppers and onions.

    Strip outer leaves of cabbage, wash and quarter.

    Peel outer layer of onion, cut of top and bottom and cut into eight pieces. (The pieces should look like petals.)

    Wash the pepper, cut the top off, remove seeds and cut into 2 inch pieces.

    Add cabbage, peppers and onion and cook until tender.

    Add salt to taste.

    Serve.
