    Note from BL: This is usually used for a poppy seed roll (like a jelly roll with poppy seed filling) but will probably work for the hamantashen as well.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 lb poppy seeds
    1/2 lb sugar
    1 tablespoon honey
    5 eggs, separated
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 tablespoon flour (try potato, arrowroot or tapioca starch)

    Recipe



    1. Scald poppyseed in boiling water and strain in cheese cloth.

    2. Grind poppyseeds in a blender until smooth.

    3. Add sugar,honey,eggyolks, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, blending constantly.

    4. Beat egg whites till stiff.

    5. Fold in poppyseed mixture.

    6. Sprinkle with flour and mix well.
