Kaanda Matar - Peas and Onion

excellent as a side dish or on their own served with naan or roti
List of Ingredients
50g vegetable ghee (or other oil)
1 tbs cumin seeds
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp dried fenugreek
1/2 tsp chili powder
500g fresh or frozen peas
saltRecipe
Fry cumin seeds in vegetable ghee until they change colour.
Add onions, and fry gently until soft and transparent. Add garlic and spices, cooking for one minute. Stir in the peas, cover, and cook on a low heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Excellent with plain basmati rice, and a tomato and onion salad.
