    1/2 cup tapioca
    3 cups water
    1/2 tsp sea salt or to taste
    3 cups fresh or canned peeled pears, sliced
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp citric acid
    2 tbsp water

    Recipe



    Soak tapioca overnight in water. Add salt and boil, stirring until clear (about 30 minutes). Layer pears into a greased baking dish. Mix citric acid with water. Spoon over sugar and citric acid mix. Pour tapioca over and bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Cool and allow to set. Serve with ice cream. - Howard Dengate
