    Barbeque Sauce

    List of Ingredients

    1 teaspoon crushed garlic (2-3 cloves)
    3/4 cup vinegar
    1 six-ounce can tomato paste
    1/4 cup dark molasses
    1/4 cup light molasses (reader substitutes all dark molases)
    1/4 cup water
    2 Tablespoons orange marmalade (reader substitutes orange zest)
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ginger
    1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
    l/4 teaspoon allspice
    1/4 teaspoon celery seed
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
    1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper(reader adds more cayenne)
    1 small bay leaf
    1 Tablespoon liquid smoke (reader eliminates this)

    Recipe

    In a medium-sized saucepan, combine all ingredients except the liquid smoke.

    Bring to a boil Reduce heat and simmer gently, uncovered, for 29 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add liquid smoke. Stir.
