    Ann's Smoothies

    Source of Recipe

    Ann Hewitt

    Recipe Introduction

    These are Ann's favorite concoctions.

    List of Ingredients

1 can fruit with fruit juice (undrained)
    1-2 small bags frozen fruit

Optional add-ins that will not negatively affect flavor

    coconut oil

spinach, 1 handful or less, hides best in dark colored fruit

    cabbage, 1 handful

    chia seeds

    cinnamon

cucumber, I've heard but haven't tried

ice or frozen fruit, if it needs to be thicker

water or liquid, if it needs to be thinner

    a little tart cherry juice

1/3 or less scoop vanilla protein powder

    Recipe

Put liquids in the blender first, then solids, frozen on top.

If you have an ice crusher option on your blender or pulse, use that at first.

    Then blend on high speed.

If you need to stop the blender to break up frozen chunks and stir things up, please UNPLUG IT first.

If the mixture seems too thin, add more frozen fruit or ice cubes.

If it is too thick, add another can of fruit or fruit juice.

Freeze leftover smoothies in flattened ZipLoc.

Thaw in refrigerator until melted and slushy, then serve.

Or add the frozen leftover smoothie as a frozen ingredient in a new smoothie or freeze in popsicle molds.

Ann's Notes: My favorites are cherries, blueberries, pineapple and peaches. I often add 2 mango chunks, but more than that is too much for me. (Use any combination of fruits.)
