    Rhonda's Crock Pot Beef Stew

    Source of Recipe

    Rhonda Cisneros

    Recipe Introduction

    Original Recipe by Rhonda Cisneros

    List of Ingredients

    Kosher salt
    Potatoes
    Carrots
    Onions
    A beef roast
    Rosemary
    Sage
    Garlic paste
    Water or Gf Broth

    Recipe

Put a few tablespoons of kosher salt (or regular salt) on the bottom of your crockpot.

Place thick chunks of potato on top of the salt.

Plunk the meat down on top of the potato, fatty side up.

Add big chunks of carrots and onion all around.

Sprinkle lots of rosemary and sage on top of this.

Take generous spoonfuls of garlic paste and spread them on top of everything.

Pour a cup or two of water or broth over the mixture.

(Sprinkle a little more salt on top. I don't like pepper but some people do and add in a little at this point.) (remember it gets stronger as it cooks).

Place the lid on the crock pot and cook on high until the meat is done and falling apart, which seems to take between 4-8 hours depending on size of meat, cut of meat, type of crock pot, etc...

There are just too many variables, so use your best judgement and remember that it's hard to overcook this.

If prefered, remove meat and cut into chunks before serving.
