    OLD FASHION PEACH COBBLER

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 Cups sliced peeled peaches
    • 2/3 Cup all-purpose flour, divided
    • 1/3 Cup sugar,divided
    • 2 Tbls lemon juice
    • 1/3 Cup margarine,divided,softened
    • 20 Nilla waffers,finely rolled(about 3/4 Cup Crumbs)
    • 2Tbls water


    Instructions


    1. In large bowl,toss peaches w/2Tbls flour,3 Tbl sugar and lemon juice.Place in 8x8x2 baking dish:dot w/ 1Tbl margarine.

    2. In Med bowl,combine wafer crumbs with remaining flour and sugar:cut in remaining margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water until mixture holds together:shape into ball.Roll dough out between 2 sheets of lightly floured waxed paper.to 7 1/2 inch circle.Remove 1 sheet of waxed paper.Cut 1-inch circle out of center of dough.Invert dough over fruit mixture:peel paper.Sprinkle w/ additional suagr.

    3. Bake @ 400*F 35-40 minutes or until pastry is browned.Cool "slightly" before serving.

    My granma showed my Mom, my Mom showed me, and now Im sharing w/ You. I make 2 pans of this and well theres these lil gremlins aka as my 2 teenage sons that eat it gone in 2 days LOL!
