    Recipe Introduction

I loved to make this when I was growing up. It's so easy and tastes so delicious. You'll want to make at least two batches. One for gifts and the other for yourself!

    List of Ingredients

1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts, almonds or cashews)
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter (margarine will also work, but butter will taste richer)
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

    Recipe

Butter a square 9x9" pan. spread pecans in the bottom of pan. In a 1 quart sauce pan melt butter and add brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 7 minutes. Immediately spread into pan on top of pecans. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over hot mixture. Set a sheet pan on top of pan to help melt the chips. Spread melted chocolate chips over candy. Sprinkle white chips over the top of chocolate chips, covering with pan until melted. Make a swirl design with a knife or toothpick. Cut into small squares while still hot. Refrigerate until firm. Store at room temperature.
