    Bethany's Buttermilk Brownies

    List of Ingredients




    Brownies:
    2 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 t. baking soda
    1/4 t. salt
    4 T. cocoa
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. water
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 t. vanilla

    Frosting:
    4 T. margarine
    4 T. milk
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    Bring this just to a boil (but do not boil). Add a heaping cup of chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly.

    In a large bowl, add flour sugar, soda and salt. In a sauce pan, mix cocoa, water, margarine and butter. Bring to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients. Add eggs milk and vanilla. Mix and pour into a greased 10x15 inch pan. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes. Frost while warm.
