    Stuffed Peppers

    List of Ingredients

    6 large green peppers
    1 pound lean hamburger
    1 onion (cut up)
    1 cup long grain rice
    1-16 oz. can tomato sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    margarine or butter

    Recipe

    Wash and cut tops off peppers, clean out seeds. In a large bowl, mix the hamburger, rice, 4 oz. of tomato sauce and small amount of water to moisten. Fill peppers to top. Put pad of butter or margarine in mixture in pepper. Mix remaining toamto with equal amount of water. Lay peppers on their sides in a roasting pan. Pour tomato mixture oveer peppers. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover, turn peppers and cook for another hour or until peppers are soft and browned. When you uncover peppers, drain juice into saucepan.
