    Salt and pepper to taste
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
    2 tbsp. chopped chives
1 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    Additional chopped chives

    Recipe

Pound steaks to 1/4 inch thickness, using a meat mallet. Cut each steak lengthwise into 4 strips (about 1 1/2 inches wide). Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place cream cheese in s mall bowl. Beat until creamy. Stir in 2 tablespoons chives, lemon pepper seasoning and garlic. Spread cream cheese mixture down center of each strip of meat. Roll strips, jelly roll fashion, and secure with wooden toothpicks. Place pinwheels in a shallow dish. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Transfer pinwheels to a rack in a roasting pan. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes or to a desired degree of doneness. Remove wooden picks. Transfer to serving platter and garnish with additional chives. Serves 8.
