    1 3/4 cup rolled oats (uncooked)
    1 1/2 cups flour
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 cup melted margarine
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
    1 (14 ounce) bag caramels
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1/4 cup water

    Heat oven to 350º. Grease 13x9 pan. Combine first 5 ingredients. Add margarine, mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remaining; mixture onto bottom of pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool. Top with nuts and morsels.

    In medium pan, melt caramels and water over low heat, stir until smooth. Drizzle over nuts and morsels to within 1/4 inch of pan edge. Sprinkle with reserve mixture. Continue baking 15to 18 minutes. Cool.

    Chill until chocolate is set. Cut into bars. Store tightly covered in cool, dry place.
