    5 tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 cup melted margarine
    2 1/2 cups milk
    1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    3 medium potatoes, sliced and cooked*
    2 tbsp. chopped onions
    2 cups chopped ham
    1/2 cup shredded cheese

    Blend flour, salt, pepper, and melted margarine in saucepan. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly. Add 1 1/2 cup cheese, stirring until melted. Alternate layers of potatoes, onions, and ham in greased baking dish until all ingredients are used. Spoon cheese sauce over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until bubbly. Sprinkle with remaining cheese, and bake until cheese is melted. Canned ham works well in this casserole.

    Slice and boil the potatoes until just done(not mushy). It will cut your cooking time in half as opposed to raw sliced potatoes, which would make your casserole have to cook about a hour.
