    Hunka Chocolate Cookie

    Source of Recipe

From the kitchen of Fran Cook.

    List of Ingredients

2 (12 oz.) pkgs. semisweet chocolate pieces (about 4 cups)
4 squares unsweetened chocolate (4 oz.)
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. all-purpose four
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2-3 c. broken walnut pieces
    melted white chocolate
    melted semisweet chocolate

    Recipe

In a heavy saucepan, heat 1 package of semisweet chocolate pieces, the unsweetened chocolate and butter until melted; stir constantly. Transfer to large mixing bowl to cool slightly. Stir together flour, baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt. Set aside. Add eggs, sugar and vanilla to chocolate mixture; beat with electric mixer. Add flour mixture and beat on low speed until well mixed. Stir in remaining chocolate pieces and nuts. Using 1/4 cup dough for each cookie, drop 3 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake in 350-degree oven 12-15 minutes, or until edges are firm and surface is dull and cracked. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove, and cool on wire racks. Drizzle with melted white and semisweet chocolate. Makes 24 cookies.
