    Tequila Rose Copykat

    Source of Recipe

Recipezaar.com (as modified by one of the reviewers)

    Recipe Introduction

We had been looking for a good copykat for this product for a long time. The most commonly found copykat recipe (see, e.g., http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/218/TequilaRose66056.shtml) is good but not really close to the commercial product. The recipe below received rave reviews, however, so we thought it would be worth a try. Unlike many other copykat recipes in which the product is not cost-effective to make at home in comparison to its commercial equivalent, at $45-60 per bottle Tequila Rose is susceptible to lower-priced substitutes. When we finally tested this--oh my gosh!--it is spectacular. The reviews that we had read suggested that it is better than the original, which we weren't anticipating because we wanted it to duplicate, not exceed, the original. But it is VERY similar to the original--AND BETTER. So, don't fear, this is a good recipe! BUT, FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT MIGHT BE MISLED INTO THINKING THAT THE MAKERS OF A $50 SPIRIT WILL INTENTIONALLY RUIN THEIR BUSINESS BY PLACING THE ACTUAL RECIPE ON THE INTERNET FOR EVERYONE TO MAKE AT HOME: I am not affiliated with the manufacturers of Tequila Rose and do not pretend that this is the recipe that they actually use. (Upon information and belief, "Tequila Rose" is a trademark of Tequila Rose Distilling Company) This is a copy cat recipe. The poster of this recipe holds no copyright on this individual recipe. I am not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or any copyright or trademark infringement the source of this recipe may cause. This recipe is not an original recipe and is considered only to be an approximate "clone" to the original for the home cook to attempt to duplicate. Please also note that many nationwide restaurant chains and food manufacturers vary their menus and ingredients so the version provided may not be similar to what you may have tried before. Any trademarked names are used only to identify the recipe and give the restaurant or product named in the recipe a little free publicity.
