    I'v had this reipe since I was about 13---I thought it came from my aunt Doris;s sister-in-law, but when I mentioned it to her years later she said she had never had [or even heard] of it so I reaslly don't know where I got it.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 egg
    • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream [canned milk will work]
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 3 tbsp cocoa
    • 4 tbsp flour
    • dash salt [optional]
    • unbaked pie shell


    Instructions


    1. Mix sugar,flour,salt, and cocoa together
    2. Beat egg, add cream.
    3. Add dry mixture to egg mixture and pour into unbaked pie shell.
    4. Bake at 250 deegrees for about one hour or until knife comes out clean.


    Final Comments


    Notes:
    1. This is a very thin mixture---almost like pouring cocoa into the pie crust.

    2.You may need to put strips of foil around the crust if it browns to quickly.

    3. The texture of this pie depends on how well it is mixed. Just slight mixing with a fork [my favorite] will give you about 1/2 and 1/2 with the bottom creamy and the top christalized, if it is done with a mixer or in a blender there will be less of the christalized top crust.
