Chocolate Mint Dessert
List of Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1½ cups chocolate flavored syrup (16oz.)
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan. In large mixer bowl combine flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup; beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan; bake 25-30 minutes, or until top springs back when touched lightly. Cool completely in pan. Spread mint cream center on cake cover and chill. Pour chocolate topping over chilled dessert. Cover; chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Mint Cream Center
2 cups confectioners sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 Tbsp. Green creme de menthe flavoring or 3/4 tsp. Mint extract
In small mixer bowl combine confectioners sugar, butter and mint flavoring; beat until well smooth. One Tbsp. Water to 3/4 tsp. Mint extract and 3 drops of green food color may be substituted for creme de menthe.
Chocolate Topping
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate
6 Tbsp. Butter
In small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate chips and butter. Remove from heat; stir until smooth. Cool slightly.
