    List of Ingredients


    • 2 c. sifted flour
    • 3 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 c. shortening
    • 2/3 to 3/4 c. milk


    Instructions


    1. Cut shortening into dry ingredients til like course crumbs. Mix well. Add milk. Stir quickly just until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Dough will be soft. Knead gently with heal of hand, 10-12 strokes.
    2. Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick. Dip biscuit cutter in flour. Cut dough straight down--DO NOT TWIST.
    3. Bake on ungreased baking dish at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

    We made these when we were in Home Ec......that has been years ago.....HA!
