    List of Ingredients


    • 3 1/4 c. sifted flour
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • dash salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 2/3 c. sugar
    • 1 tsp . vanilla
    • 2/3 c. cream
    • 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    • 1/2 c, sugar (for after baking)
    • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (for after baking)


    Instructions


    1. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until think and lemon color. Combine cream and butter, add alternately to egg mixture with flour mixture; beating until just blended after each addition.
    2. Cover and chill dough for about 2 hours.
    3. Roll dough 3/8 inch thick on floured surface. Cut with floured doughnut cutter.
    4. Fry in deep fat fryer 375 degrees until golden brown, turning once (about 1 minute per side). Drain on paper towel. While warm shake in mixture of 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
    5. Makes about 20 doughnuts.
