List of Ingredients



• 1/2 c. shortening
  
• 1 c. brown sugar
  
• 1 egg
  
• 1 1/2 c. flour
  
• 1/2 c. cocoa
  
• 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  
• 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  
• 1/2 c. buttermilk
  
• ICING:
  
• 1 egg
  
• 1/4 c. cocoa
  
• 1 tsp. vanilla
  
• 1 tbsp. milk
  
• 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  






Instructions



1. Mix shortening, brown sugar, egg, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and buttermilk together. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
   
2. Bake 375 degrees for 7 minutes.
   
3. ICING: Combine all ingredients and beat well. Frost cookies and cool.
