    List of Ingredients


    • 2 c. flour
    • 1 c. packed brown sugar
    • 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    • 1/2 c. quick-cooking oats
    • FILLING:
    • 2/3 c. sugar
    • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    • 1 1/4 c. water
    • 3 c. diced peeled tart apples
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract


    Instructions


    1. Combine the first four ingredients; set aside 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 9 inch pie pan; set aside.
    2. FILLING: combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a saucepan until smooth; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in apples and vanilla. (Can add a little cinnamon).
    3. Pour into crust; top with reserved crumb mixture.
    4. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
    5. Makes 6-8 servings.
