Dutch Apple Pie

List of Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. quick-cooking oats
- FILLING:
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 3 c. diced peeled tart apples
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine the first four ingredients; set aside 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 9 inch pie pan; set aside.
- FILLING: combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a saucepan until smooth; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in apples and vanilla. (Can add a little cinnamon).
- Pour into crust; top with reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- Makes 6-8 servings.
