    List of Ingredients


    • 2 unbaked 9-inch (4 cup volume) deep-dish pie shells
    • 1 1/2 c. sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 1 tsp. ground ginger
    • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    • 4 eggs
    • 3 1/2 c. (29 oz can) LIBBYS pure pumpkin
    • 3 c. (two 12 oz. cans) Nestle Carnation Evaporated Milk


    Instructions


    1. Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in medium bowl. Beat eggs lightly in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shells.
    2. Bake in preheated oven 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees; bake for 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or chill. (Do not freeze as this will cause the crust to seperate from the filling.)


    Final Comments


    FOR 4 SHALLOW PIES, substitute four 9-inch (2 cup volume) pie shells. Bake pies, two at a time, filling shells just before baking. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees; bake for 20-30 minutes or until pies test done.
