Wilted Lettuce

List of Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 1/4 c. sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon
- bacon grease
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4-1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 c. milk
Instructions
- Break up one head of lettuce in a bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 c. sugar over this and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix together bacon pieces and part of the grease from 6 slices of fried bacon with 1/2 c. sugar, vinegar and the eggs to 1/4 c. milk.
- Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. While hot pour over lettuce and stir in.
