    My grandmother would make this particular dish every holiday


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (8oz) box macaroni
    • 2 (16 oz or larger) cans of diced tomatoes
    • 2-3 tablesponns sugar (according to taste)
    • salt & pepper to taste
    • 2- 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Cook macaroni according to package directions, and drain.
    2. While macaroni is cooking, place tomatoes in large bowl, add the sugar and salt and pepper to taste.
    3. Add drained macaroni, and stir to mix throughly,place in a baking dish, and sprinkle the cheese on top evenly.
    4. Place in pre-heated 350 degree oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is nice and golden brown.


    Final Comments


    You can also make this without adding the cheese and baking by stopping after mixing the cooked macaroni with the tomatoe mixture, my family loves it both ways.
