    Quick Buttermilk Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup warm buttermilk
    • 1/4 cup warm water
    • 1 pkg. dry yeast
    • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 3 to 4 Tbsp. shortening
    • 2 1/2 to 3 cup flour


    Instructions


    1. Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm water.
    2. Add salt, shortening, and rest of sugar to warm water and the milk.
    3. Then add to yeast mixture.
    4. Add flour to make soft dough.
    5. Knead on flour board until smooth and elastic.
    6. Cover with cloth and let rest for 10 or 15 minutes.
    7. Roll. Put in greased warm pan.
    8. Let is rise until it doubles (1 1/2 hours).
    9. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees. Brush with oleo.
