    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. ground meat
    • 1 onion
    • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
    • 1/2 cup bell pepper
    • salt to taste
    • black pepper
    • 1 can tomato soup
    • 1 can whole kernel corn
    • 1 cup water
    • Topping ingredients:
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. flour
    • 1/2 cup meal


    Instructions


    1. Saute ground meat, onion, and bell pepper.
    2. Add salt, pepper, and chili powder.
    3. Mix well.
    4. Add tomato soup, corn, and water.
    5. Simmer approximately 30 minutes or until most liquid is cooked out.
    6. In bowl, beat egg. Add milk and mix well.
    7. Add salt, baking powder, sugar, flour, and meal.
    8. Stir well until smooth. (She finds it helps to get the lumps out if she lets the topping set a few minutes and then goes back and stirs again.)
    9. Use 2 quart or 9 X 13 baking dish.
    10. Spray with non-stick cookiing spray.
    11. Pour meat mixture into bowl.
    12. Spoon topping over mixture.
    13. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until topping is lightly browned and meat mixture is bubbly around edges.
