Stuffed Peppers

List of Ingredients
- 6 med. green bell peppers
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup grated sharp cheese
- Heinz chili sauce
Instructions
- Slice stem ends from peppers and scoop out seeds.
- Blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes.
- Drain well.
- Season inside of peppers with salt and pepper.
- Combine ground beef and next 6 ingredients.
- Stuff peppers with meat mixture and place in buttered 2 quart casserole dish.
- Cover.
- Bake for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Remove from oven.
- Top peppers with cheese and dollop of chili sauce.
- Bake uncovered for 5 minutes longer.
