    List of Ingredients


    • 6 med. green bell peppers
    • 1 lb. lean ground beef
    • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1/2 cup chili sauce
    • 1 egg, slightly beaten
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/8 tsp. pepper
    • 1/2 cup grated sharp cheese
    • Heinz chili sauce


    Instructions


    1. Slice stem ends from peppers and scoop out seeds.
    2. Blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes.
    3. Drain well.
    4. Season inside of peppers with salt and pepper.
    5. Combine ground beef and next 6 ingredients.
    6. Stuff peppers with meat mixture and place in buttered 2 quart casserole dish.
    7. Cover.
    8. Bake for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
    9. Remove from oven.
    10. Top peppers with cheese and dollop of chili sauce.
    11. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes longer.
