    You don't have to wait until the Park opens to have funnel cakes when you can make them this easy at home.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/3 C. flour
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 2 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 2/3 C. milk, more if needed
    • Vegetable oil
    • Powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.
    2. Combine egg and 2/3 C. milk. Add to flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
    3. In a pan, heat 1 inch of vegetable oil to 375 deg.
    4. Hold a funnel in one hand and put your finger over the bottom close it.
    5. Pour in some batter, remove your finger and let the batter drop in a spiral into the oil.
    6. If batter is too thick, add more milk.
    7. Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    8. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
    9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
