    Recipe Introduction

    servings 8
    points 3

    List of Ingredients

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon unseasoned meat tenderizer
2 pounds beef sirloin tips, cut into cubes and all visible fat removed
    2 cloves garlic, finely minced
    1/2 cup finely chopped onion
    1-1/4 cups low-sodium beef broth
    1/3 cup dry red wine
    1 tablespoon light soy sauce
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    1/4 cup cold water
    1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

    Recipe

Pace a large, non stick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle pepper and meat tenderizer on meat. Brown meat on all sides, turning often, until well browned. Add garlic and onions and cook until onions are translucent. Add broth, wine and soy sauce and heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1-1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. In a small bowl, blend cornstarch and water until smooth, then slowly pour mixture into skillet, stirring constantly. Continue to cook and stir until gravy thickens. Sprinkle parsley on top. Serve with rice, if desired.
