    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1 1/3 cups brown sugar, packed
    • 3/4 cups unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 cup chopped pecan (optional)
    • 1 cup red delicious apple, peeled and finely chopped
    • 1 cup raisin (optional)
    • 1/2 cup apple cider
    • 2 T apple cider
    • 3 cups confectioners sugar


    Instructions


    1. Batter: Preheat oven to 350.
    2. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, and nutmeg in a medium bowl.
    3. Cream the sugar and 3/4 cup butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until incorporated.
    4. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Stir in the raisins, pecans, apples, and 1/4 cup apple cider.
    5. Drop by heaping tablespoons, 2 inches apart, onto parchment lined baking sheets. Flatten each slightly and bake 18-22 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
    6. In a small bowl, stir together the sugar, remaining cider and butter until smooth. Drizzle about 1T icing over each cookie.
    7. Store in airtight container for up to 4 days.
