    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp cream of tartar
    • 1/8 tsp salt


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
    2. Combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. gradually add to the creamed mixture.
    3. Shape into 2 5" rolls; wrap each in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
    4. Unwrap dough; cut into 1/4" slices. Place 2 in apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
