    Sausage Gravy (and Biscuits)

    Source of Recipe

    The Web

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 large roll of sausage, like Jimmy Dean (can be a combination of regular and hot if you use more than 1)
    • 2 cups milk
    • 3 Tbs. flour
    • Ground pepper to taste
    • Biscuits

    Instructions

    1. Brown crumbled sausage in pan until thoroughly cooked. Add some pepper as it browns.

    2. Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to coat evenly.

    3. Once sausage and flour have started to re-brown, slowly add milk to the pan. This will make your gravy.

    4. Simmer gravy, stirring occasionally, for approx. 30 minutes to allow the gravy to absorb the sausage flavor, adding more pepper if you like.

    5. If gravy thickens too much, just add more milk in small amounts.

    Final Comments

    Serve over hot split biscuits.
