    Russian Tea Cakes

    Recipe Introduction

    Dough requires refrigeration/chill 1-2 hrs or covered well oernight bring to almost room tempurature then proceed.

    List of Ingredients

    RUSSIAN TEA CAKES
    yields about 4 doz. 1" cookies Dough requires Chill 1-2 hrs.

    1cupsoftbutter 2 1/4 cups flour
    1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar 1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts


    Recipe

    Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dip-level-pour method.
    Blend flour and salt; stir in. Mix in nuts. Chill. Preheat oven to (mod hot) 400*
    Roll into 1"" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
    While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again.
