    ¼ TSP SODA
    2 EGGS, SLIGHTLY BEATEN
    1 TSP SALT
    2 TSP VANILLA
    1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
    1 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS

    MELT SHORTENING AND SUGAR IN SAUCEPAN. ADD EGGS, THEN FLOUR MIXTURE AND REMAINING INGREDIENTS. SPRINKLE CHOCOLATE CHIPS ON TOP.

    BAKE IN 350-DEGREE OVEN FOR 30 MINUTES.

    USE 9 X 13 INCH PAN
