    Amish Friendship Bread

    Starter ingredients:
    1 cup flour, 1 cup warm water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 pkg (2 1/2 tsps.) yeast.

    Use only plastic bowls with wooden or plastic spoons. Do NOT refregerate; leave out on counter top.
    Day 1: Do nothing.
    Days 2, 3, 4 & 5: mash bag 2 times a day. This will form air inside bag do NOT release it.
    Day 6: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Mash together.
    Days 7, 8 & 9: mash and let air out of bag 2 times a day.
    Day 10: Pour & squeese contents into big bowl. Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Stir & pour (4) 1 cup starters into large ziploc bags.
    This is day 1 for those bags, mark the date on the bag with a permanent marker. Give these bags & a copy of recipe to 4 friends. Or keep one for yourself.
    You will have a bit of starter left in the bowl. Add the following to it & mix well.
    1 cup veg. oil, 1/2 cup milk, 3 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla
    In a separate bowl, mix well then add to above mixture:
    2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsps. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 large box instant vanilla pudding & 1 cup chopped pecans.
    Spray pans with cooking spray (2 regular or 4 small loaf pans), & sprinkle with a mixture of 2 tsps. cinnamon & 4 tsps. sugar to coat the bottom & sides. Divide batter between pans & sprinkle with more cinnamon/sugar. Bake at 325 degrees F. as follows:
    4 loaves = 35 minutes; 2 loaves = 45 minutes; muffins = 25 minutes. You can use different puddings or flavorings if you wish.
