    2 c. chocolate Oreo cookie crumbs, or graham crackers, mixed with 1/2 stick melted butter
    4-5 bananas, sliced
    2 sticks butter, room temperature
    2 eggs or equivalent in egg substitute
    2 c. powdered sugar
    1 (#2) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 lg. tub Cool Whip
    Chopped walnuts or slivered almonds
    1 sm. jar maraschino cherries, or, in season, fresh strawberries
    Hershey's chocolate syrup

    Spread cookie or cracker crumbs firmly in 9 x 13 glass dish. Do not bake.
    Beat 2 sticks butter, sugar, and eggs for 15 minutes. Spread this over crumb mixture. Put on in layers, sliced bananas, drained pineapple, whip and sprinkle with nuts. Arrange cherries or strawberries artfully on top and drizzle on chocolate syrup. Refrigerate overnight.
