    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1T. oil
    • 1/2c. onion, chopped
    • 1 1/2t. salt
    • 1/8t. pepper
    • 1/8t. garlic powder
    • 1/8t. thyme
    • 1/8t. oregano
    • 1 small bay leaf
    • 1 (20 oz) can crushed tomatoes
    • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
    • 1c. rice, pre-cooked
    • Cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Brown ground beef in oil over high heat. Add chopped onions and reduce heat to medium, cook until tender.
    2. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, bay leaf, crushed tomatoes, mushroom soup and rice.
    3. Bring all to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    4. Discard bay leaf. Spoon into a 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish.
    5. Sprinkle cheese on top of the casserole.
    6. Broil just until cheese melts.
