Lemon Butter Cookies

Festive Holiday Cookies






List of Ingredients



• 2c. all purpose flour
  
• 1/2t. baking soda
  
• 1c. butter softened
  
• 1c. sugar
  
• 1t. vanilla
  
• 1t. grated lemon peel
  
• 1 egg
  
• sugar
  






Instructions



1. Preheat oven to 375.
   
2. In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
   
3. In medium bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon peel just until blended. Beat in egg until light and fluffy.
   
4. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
   
5. Grease bottom of small glass;dip into sugar. Press onto dough to flatten slightly.
   
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from sheets; cool on wire racks. Store in airtight container.
