    Recipe Introduction

Such a simple recipe and yet it makes a great cookie treat. Nice enough for a gift tray, but simple enough for an everyday treat for the kids.

    List of Ingredients

    48 graham crackers, halves
3/4 cup butter or margarine (do not use low-calorie spreads)
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    3/4 cup chopped nuts

    Recipe

    1. Carefully break graham crackers into'fingers'.
    2. Line crackers on large cookie sheet with sides or jelly roll pan.
    3. Place butter and sugar in a saucepan and boil about 2 minutes, or until thick and bubbly.
    4. Pour this syrup over crackers, spreading evenly to completely cover.
    5. Sprinkle finely chopped nuts over top.
    6. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 5 to 8 minutes (you should see bubbles over entire area, and light brown color).
    7. Remove from oven and cool a moment.
    8. With a spatula, remove from pan and place onto waxed paper to cool.
