    4 chicken thighs, legs, or breasts
    Paprika
    Salt and pepper
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1/4 cup chopped celery
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme

    Sprinkle chicken with paprika, salt and pepper. Broil for about 15
    minutes until browned; drain. Place browned chicken in crockpot.
    Mix remaining ingredients except rice and pour over chicken. Cover
    and cook on LOW setting for 7 to 9 hours or on HIGH setting for 3
    to 4 hours. Remove chicken from sauce before serving. Serve sauce
    over hot fluffy rice. 2 servings.
