    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2c. shortening
    • 1c. sugar
    • 2t. baking powder
    • 1t. baking soda
    • 2c. all purpose flour
    • 1/2t. salt
    • 1/2t. cinnamon
    • 1t. allspice
    • 1/2t. cloves
    • 1/2t. nutmeg
    • 1c. soaked raisins
    • 1c. chopped pecans
    • 1 egg, well beaten
    • 1 (16 oz) can applesauce


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350-375. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    2. Add beaten egg and mix well. Add applesauce and mix. Mix together all dry ingredients.
    3. Slowly add to cream mixture. Next add raisins and nuts, to blend.
    4. Place batter in lined cupcake tins and bake 20-25 mins.
    5. Yield: 15-18 cupcakes
