    2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup margarine, not diet
    3 large eggs, separated
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
    1 cup nuts, chopped

    Recipe




    In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks and
    beat until light and fluffy. Mix cracker crumbs with sifted flour,
    salt and baking powder. Add to the sugar mixture alternating with
    the milk, vanilla and lemon peel. Beat egg whites until stiff and
    fold into the batter along with the chopped nuts. Grease and flour
    bottoms of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan or two 8-inch cake pans. Pour
    batter into pan and bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes
    or until done. Frost this as you prefer. A good choice would be a
    cream frosting made of powdered sugar, milk, and lemon extract.
