    Sour Cream Pear Pie

    1 9-inch (23-cm) pie shell, unbaked
    5 or 6 pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
    4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    2/3 cup (4-1/2 oz) sugar
    1/4 teaspoon ginger
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 cup sour cream
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

    Preheat oven to 425deg. F. (220deg. C.)

    In pie shell, arrange pears in concentric circles with stem end
    toward center.

    Combime flour, 2/3 cup sugar, ginger, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and sour
    cream. Mix well and pour over pears.

    Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and spread over
    pie. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
