    List of Ingredients


    • 3 lb. ground sirloin or ground round
    • 1 stick butter
    • 1 lb. lean ground pork
    • 3 green bell peppers, chopped
    • 3 onions, chopped
    • 3 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1/4c. chili powder
    • 2T. salt
    • 1 12/ t. pepper
    • 3t. cumin
    • 1/2T. cayenne pepper
    • 3(1lb ) cans tomatoes, chopped , include liquid


    Instructions


    1. In a large pot, brown the meat in butter. Pour off 1/2c. liquid from meat.
    2. Use it to saute peppers, onions, and garlic in a separate skillet until tender.
    3. Add to meat mixture and stir in chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
    4. Add tomatoes. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Remove lid and simmer for at least 30 more minutes.
    5. Makes: 10 servings.
