Real Mahan Chili

List of Ingredients
- 2lb. bacon, cut into small bits
- 5 lb. boneless sirloin tip (lean coarse ground beef)
- 3 med. white onions, chopped
- 12 oz. beer
- 12 oz. tomato sauce
- 1c. hot water
- 12 oz. beef bouillon
- 4(15 oz) cans pinto beans, drained
- 6 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1lb. tomatoes, diced
- 5T. paprika
- 2t. salt
- 1 1/2 t. black pepper
- 8-9T. chili powder
- 5 1/2T. ground cumin
- 1t. oregano
- 3T. diced jalapeno peppers
Instructions
- In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain. Brown the meat in the same pan.
- Saute the onions in another pan with a small amount of bacon drippings. Add onions to meat, then add the bacon.
- Add remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat, covered tightly, for 2 hours.
- Stir occasionally.
- Makes: 20 or more servings.
